Letzte Woche wurden in der Ukraine antirassistische Fußballfans von Arsenal Kiew und in Russland Fans von FC Karilien-Discovery von organisierten Neonazi-Hools lebensbedrohlich angegriffen. Am 15. August 2010 griffen nach dem Spiel der Ukrainischen Bundesligisten Arsenal Kiew und Volyn Lutsk Neonazis die Fußballfans brutalst an. Im Sommer dieses Jahres ist der brennende Konflikt wegen der Abholzung des Waldes in der Nähe der Moskauer Nachbarstadt Chimki eskaliert. Seit Jahren kämpfen die Bewohner_innen der Stadt und Aktivist_innen aus Chimki und aus Moskau gegen die Abholzung des Waldes. Die Baufirma setzt Neonazi-Schläger gegen Öko-Aktivist_innen ein. Um die Kritiker_innen zum Schweigen zu bringen, werden lokale Journalist_innen bedroht, zusammengeschlagen und umgebracht. Die Polizei hat neue Repressionen angefangen. Alexey Gaskarov und Maxim Solopov befinden sich in U-Haft. Ihnen droht bis zu 7 Jahre Haftstrafe, nur weil sie zu den wenigen Sprechern der sozialen Bewegungen in Moskau und in Russland gehören, die in der Öffentlichkeit auftreten und die Inhalte der Bewegung offen vertreten und propagieren. On August 7, 2010 a picket against an illegal arrest of antifascists Aleksey Gaskarov and Maksim Solopov, as well as against an illegal Khimki forest cutting in order to build a federal Moscow-St. Petersburg highway in its place, took place near the Griboyedov monument at Chistiye Prudi metro station in Moscow. Besides, participants expressed outrage against illegal persecution of Khimki forest defenders. Basic slogans of the picket were “Stop a bloody highway construction!”, “Freedom to Solopov and Gaskarov!”, “We have nothing to breathe – they cut the forest!”. About 200 people participated in the action organized by «January 19 Committee».

A representative of Bitsevsky Forest (named in honor of Dionis Georgis) defenders, a member of Khimki Forest Protection Movement and «Solidarity» Movement Simyon Zonzam also presented the picket. A poet Kirill Medvedev read the statement of «January 19 Committee» calling to stop «a bloody highway» construction and persecution of forest defenders and antifascists. About 350 anarchists and anti-fascists along with dozens of Socialists took part in a demonstration on May, 01 to mark the day of social struggle and protests of workers and students . On each side of the black-colored column people carried banners with anti-capitalist and anti-fascist slogans. Anarchists and anti-fascists marched under black, red and black and green flags and symbols of the anti-fascist resistance.

As usual the procession started from the Kaluzhskaya square, Oktyabrskaya metro station and headed to the Theater Square, Okhotnyy Ryad station.
